The trade and geopolitical confrontation between the US and China has already Huawei is ditching Windows in May: all of the company's new computers will switch to HarmonyOS to HarmonyOS and work on the operating system without Google's involvement. Another Chinese giant - Xiaomi - may come to such (also very justified step).

Here's What We Know

Xiaomi is still using Android as the basis for its own OS, but rumours suggest that HyperOS 3 may be released without Google's cooperation. For this, the company may team up with Huawei and BBK Group (Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus) and thus try to provide a backup in case of further deterioration of relations with its American partners.

Two such giants as Xiaomi and Huawei will be able not only to share the costs of OS development, but also to create an alternative to Google Play. At the same time, most likely outside of China Xiaomi devices with HyperOS 3 will remain tied to Google services.
