One of the most anticipated games of this year, Judas, a new project by Ken Levine, the creator of BioShock, has suddenly disappeared from the release calendar. Although the game was supposed to be released by March 2025, the developers and publisher Take-Two Interactive have not given any official comment on the delay, and players have only now begun to notice this silence.

Here's What We Know

Back in 2023, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick confidently stated that Judas would be released "by the end of March 2025" and emphasised the stability of the company's release schedule. However, this deadline has already passed, and there is no news about the game - neither from Ghost Story Games nor from the publisher itself. Given the recent postponement of GTA 6 to 2026, the absence of any mention of Judas is even more worrying for fans.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that earlier Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier reported on the "development hell" inside the studio, and sources blamed Levine's leadership style for the team's burnout. Since the announcement at The Game Awards 2022, almost nothing has been known about the game: there are no new trailers, gameplay demos, or even an estimated release date. All of this only increases doubts about the future of the project.

Judas was conceived as a spiritual successor to BioShock with a deep narrative, a hybrid of FPS and RPG, and even its own system for freedom of choice in the story. The story is set on the spaceship Mayflower, where the protagonist, a woman named Judas, uncovers a conspiracy of artificial intelligence controlling the remnants of humanity and comes back to life as a clone after her death to start a revolution.

Given the complete lack of news, more and more analysts believe that the game's release has been postponed until at least 2026.
