Apple has yet to unveil the iPhone 17 lineup, but the network has repeatedly reported that it will include the Air model, which will be the thinnest in the company's history.

Here's What We Know

Unfortunately, for the thin design of the iPhone 17 Air will have to pay for the thin design of the iPhone 17 Air will have to pay for the battery capacity and reduced performance.

According to The Information, with a full battery charge up to 70% of users of the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air will be able to count on the smartphone to work without recharging for a day, while in other models this figure is 80-90%.

The reason for this reduction in autonomy is simple: in a body that is only 5.5 mm thick, it is impossible to fit a large-capacity battery.

Journalists reported that to compensate for this shortcoming, Apple will take a step that has not been practised for a long time: it will release a case with an additional battery for the iPhone 17 Air - the last time such an accessory was offered for the iPhone 11.

Other features of the iPhone 17 Air include a single speaker, a single rear camera and no SIM card slot.

The iPhone 17 Air and other models in this lineup are expected to be unveiled in September 2025.
