Garmin updates Tactix 8 and Fenix 8: new features and dozens of fixes in beta 15.26
Garmin is continuing to make improvements to v15.xx software before releasing a stable version for its flagship Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 and Tactix 8 watches. While System Software 13.37 was released last week, it did not include any new features or fixes that are currently being tested.
Here's What We Know
The new beta version 15.26 is available for several models and adds voice command support in the Applied Ballistics and Flying apps - currently only for Tactix 8. In addition, Garmin has updated the Sensor Hub firmware to version 34.12 and fixed 10 more bugs, including:
- Incorrect time display in the breathing graph,
- synchronisation failures in notification settings,
- loss of running dynamics after an hour of activity,
- problems with scaling the power graph in cycling training,
- incorrect display of the route after navigation is complete.
Improvements have also been made to the fonts on the Iron Grit watch face.
The update includes Aviation, Dive, and ECG features, which Garmin plans to keep in the final releases. This indicates that the company is not yet ready for the public release of the stable v15.xx, but continues to actively test the update.
We would like to remind you that Garmin recently announced the release of beta version 21.11 for its Fenix 7, Epix 2, Enduro 2, Quatix 7, and MARQ Gen 2 smartwatches. This update brings a number of fixes that improve the performance of the devices and resolve various bugs. In particular, the update fixes bugs related to the Body Battery, sleep recording tool, and Strength activity.
