Yesterday Rockstar Games unexpectedly released the second trailer of GTA VI, which amazed gamers with incredible graphics and stunning detail. The game looks so good that many people do not believe in the final quality of the project and believe that the developers embellished the promotional materials. However, the studio hastened to provide clarification.

Here's What We Know

Rockstar published a short but extremely important post, in which it confirmed that the shown footage of GTA VI is indeed recorded on the game's engine, and not prepared separately.

The authors explained that half of the footage from the second trailer are fragments of staged scenes, while the other half refers to actual gameplay, which sounds truly amazing.

The footage was recorded on a PlayStation 5, not on the powerful PRO version, but on a standard 2020 console, which is also surprising, as it remains unclear how the creators managed to achieve this level of graphics with decent performance on not the most powerful hardware.

Nevertheless, Rockstar insists that there is no cheating and the game will really look as shown in the trailer.

It should be noted that at one time almost all Rockstar games were technological breakthroughs and demonstrated an incredible level of graphics for their generation. It's enough to remember the trailers of RDR2, in the realism of which also believed not everyone. But the game, which was released in 2018, is still almost unrivalled in terms of realism.

Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on 26 May 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series.
