Samsung has ended software support for one of its most popular mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A52, in a 4G-only version. This happened shortly after the company stopped supporting the Galaxy A52 5G model.

Here's What We Know

The Galaxy A52 debuted in March 2021 and received three major Android updates, as well as four years of regular security patches. From now on, the smartphone will no longer receive any updates - unless Samsung deems them critical.

This is sad news for many fans of this model. The Galaxy A52 is considered one of the most successful models in the Galaxy A series and has gained wide popularity due to its good price-performance ratio.

For those who are still using the Galaxy A52, there is one model, the Galaxy A52s, which continues to receive support, released in September 2021. Samsung is continuing to support this phone, but it too will likely reach the end of its life cycle this autumn, around September or October.

In March 2025, Samsung officially unveiled the new Galaxy A56 smartphone. The device has received a number of important updates, including an improved camera, a more powerful chipset, a brighter screen, and expanded software support. Galaxy A56 has a new camera design inspired by the Galaxy Fold series. Now the three lenses are located in a single elongated block, rather than separately, as in previous models.

The model is available in four colours: Awesome Graphite, Awesome Lightgray, Awesome Olive and Awesome Pink.
