While Microsoft and Nintendo have already moved their new releases to the $80 price category, Electronic Arts has unexpectedly sided with gamers: the publisher has officially announced that it has no plans to raise the price of its games, including such giants as EA Sports FC, Battlefield, and College Football.

Here's What We Know

During the latest financial statements, EA CEO Andrew Wilson stressed that the main goal of the company is to combine quality and value for players, regardless of the price tag. "Our business is strong and sustainable when we give players the most for their money," Wilson explained, citing the example of the co-op hit Split Fiction, which has already sold more than 4 million copies at a lower price.

He also noted that the modern gaming industry offers a wide range of monetisation models: from free-to-play to deluxe editions and subscriptions. Physical discs are gradually becoming a thing of the past, and the $70 price for major EA releases will remain the standard in 2025. CFO Stuart Canfield confirmed: "We are not making any changes to our pricing strategy at this time."

It is worth noting that EA does not rule out possible changes in the future if the market undergoes significant transformations. But for now, the company is demonstrating stability and not succumbing to the general trend of rising game prices, which has already caused a positive reaction among gamers.
