Nintendo has sold more than 152 million Switch consoles and nearly 1.4 billion Switch games

Nintendo has revealed updated sales stats for Switch consoles and games for it.

The Japanese company said it has sold 152.12 million Switch since March 2017, with more than 1.26 million units sold in the last three months - despite The announcement the entire gaming industry has been waiting for: Nintendo has unveiled its new Switch 2 console, gamers are still actively buying the (already) last generation console.

In the last quarter, 31.43 million copies of games for the Japanese console were sold. The total number of copies of games sold for the hybrid platform since its release is as impressive as ever - over 1.391 billion!

Nintendo's updated top 10 best-selling games for Switch:

• Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 68.2 million
• Animal Crossing: New Horizons - 47.82 million
• Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - 36.24 million
• The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 32.81 million
• Super Mario Odyssey - 29.28 million
• Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield - 26.79 million
• Pokemon Scarlet Pokemon Violet - 26.72 million
• The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - 21.73 million
• Super Mario Party - 21.16 million
• New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe - 18.28 million.
