Insider: Vivo X Fold5 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 6000 mAh battery to hit the global market
Vivo is planning to launch the next generation of its foldable smartphones on the global market this year, and as previous leaks have revealed, one of the models could be available worldwide.
Here's What We Know
Although the company has not announced the X Fold5 Pro model, it is expected that the standard X Fold5 will be significantly improved over the previous X Fold3.
According to information from insider Yogesh Brar, Vivo plans to release a new model between June and September. It is not yet clear whether the new product will appear on the Chinese market at the same time as the global release. Given the situation with the X Fold3, which did not receive a global launch, this model may only be available outside of China.
Here's the specsheet of the upcoming Vivo X Fold 5.

Global Launch in Q3
Any pricing guess?
The main updates concern the hardware. The X Fold5 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is already used in top foldable smartphones such as the Galaxy Fold6. The battery has also been increased by 9% to 6000 mAh, which should provide better battery life.
The cameras remain similar to the previous ones. They include three main cameras with a resolution of 50 MP and 32 MP for selfies. There will also be Zeiss optics and a fingerprint scanner on the side.
The changes also affect the displays. X Fold5 will have two screens: 6.3-inch external and 8.3-inch internal. This marks a definite change in format from the X Fold3, which had a 6.3-inch screen on the outside and an 8.03-inch screen on the inside.
