Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is impressive in its duration: the plot can take up to 75 hours
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach promises to be much bigger than its predecessor. According to journalists who have already played for about 30 hours, this is only 40% of the total story, which suggests that the main campaign can take up to 75 hours to complete.
Here's What We Know
During the recent preview at Kojima Productions studio in Tokyo, Eurogamer journalists were able to immerse themselves in the world of Death Stranding 2 for 30 hours, which is approximately 40% of the game's total length. Assuming that this proportion is correct, the full story campaign can last about 75 hours - almost twice as long as the original, which took about 40 hours.
Death Stranding 2 takes place in the open world of Australia and Mexico, where players are offered not only to deliver cargo, as in the first part, but also to complete various missions: from clearing territories of enemies to finding allies. The game world has become much more diverse - from arid deserts to dense forests, and the game also features a dynamic cycle of day and night and various weather phenomena such as earthquakes, floods, fires and sandstorms.
In the story, players will meet Sam Porter Bridges again, who is now embarking on a new mission that takes place 11 months after the events of the first part. For a better understanding of the world and events in the game, the in-game encyclopaedia Corpus has been added, where you can find additional information about the characters and lore at your convenience.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released on 26 June 2025 exclusively on PlayStation 5. The game will be available in three editions: standard, Digital Deluxe, and collector's edition.
We would like to remind you that exciting previews of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach have appeared: new mechanics, amazing graphics, and even more freedom.
