Nintendo will continue to actively support the original Switch after the release of Switch 2
In its latest financial report, Nintendo confirmed that despite the active preparations for the launch of Switch 2, support for the original Switch console will continue. The company noted that it will continue to release games for more than 100 million players worldwide.

The list of upcoming releases for Switch includes Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, and Pokémon Champions. This move demonstrates Nintendo's desire to retain its loyal audience while developing the market for the new platform.
Nintendo's President Shuntaro Furukawa said during a conference call that the company plans to sell 15 million Switch 2 units and 45 million software units in the next fiscal year. He also noted that the price of the console may change depending on the situation with US duties.
Switch 2, which launches on 5 June, will support games for the previous console. The basic version will cost $449.99, and a bundle with Mario Kart World will cost $499.99.
