In its financial report for the past fiscal year, Bandai Namco reported an impressive 995% year-on-year increase in profits. The main drivers were Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree and Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO.

Here's What We Know

The company recorded $475 million in profit - more than twice the forecasted $208 million. The total revenue was about $3.16 billion, which is 22.3% more than last year and significantly higher than the expected $2.57 billion.

The sales of console games stand out, growing by 42.6%. Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO sold more than 5.4 million copies, including 3 million in the first 24 hours after release. The DLC for Elden Ring also reached the 5 million copies sold mark, despite criticism of its complexity, which was later corrected with patches.

The mobile games market also showed positive dynamics, with growth of 3.5% year-on-year. The most popular titles are those based on Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Gakuen Idolmaster.
