Join us! Steam is hosting the largest beta testing of the ambitious survival simulator Dune: Awakening
Funcom studio has launched the largest beta-testing of the ambitious survival simulator Dune: Awakening on Steam.
Here's What We Know
Until the 12th of May everyone can take part in the testing, but for this you should apply in Steam.
The developers have provided players with around 20 hours of content, including most of the first act of the storyline. Unlike past testing sessions, this time players are not constrained by a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which will allow them to freely share their opinions, stream and release videos.
The authors are confident that Dune: Awakening's servers will be able to handle the large influx of visitors. So far, the peak online testing slightly exceeded 17.5 thousand, but during the weekend this figure can increase significantly.
Recall, the events of the game will unfold in an alternative time line to Frank Herbert's books, where the most important character Paul Atreides was not born and in his absence the story went on a completely different scenario.
When We Can Expect It
Dune: Awakening will be released on PC on the 10th of June, with console versions to be announced later. Deluxe edition buyers will get access to the game from the 5th of June.
