Samsung has unveiled its first gamer monitor with a 500Hz refresh rate.

The novelty belongs to the Odyssey OLED G6 line and is labelled G60SF.
The monitor will go on sale only in silver colour and only with a diagonal of 27". RGB backlighting is provided on the rear surface.
The main features of the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 G60SF are:
- QD-OLED matrix;
- 2560×1440p resolution;
- response time 0.03 ms (GTG);
- peak brightness 1000 nits;
- VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and Pantone Validated certification;
- support for Nvidia G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technologies.
The manufacturer emphasises that this is the first OLED monitor in the world with a 500Hz refresh rate:
We're taking gaming performance, visual quality and immersion to whole new heights, offering the next evolution of display technology for gamers around the world.
The monitor is already available for pre-order on Samsung's website at a price of $1488 (including a $200 discount), with shipments to begin from 18 May. At first, the novelty will be available in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia, and later this year it is planned to enter the global market.
