Chevrolet Corvette gets 10-piston brake calipers for the first time
Chevrolet has unveiled an updated Corvette for the 2026 model year. Aside from the expected debut of the 1,064 hp ZR1 version, the car has received one notable option - 10-piston front brake calipers. These are the largest brake components ever fitted to a production Corvette.
Here's What We Know
The ZTK Track Performance package for the track-ready ZR1 includes a particularly stiff suspension, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tyres, and the option of 10-piston front brake calipers and 6-piston rear calipers. The units are manufactured by British company Alcon. They are paired with ceramic brake discs.
Chevrolet does not disclose the exact size of the brake discs, but you can expect them to be noticeably larger than those used in the standard ZR1 with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers.
However, such an impressive braking system comes at a price. The ZTK package costs $1500, but it's only available when you order the $8495 ZR1 Carbon Fiber Aero package. As a result, the buyer will have to shell out nearly $10,000 to get the 10-piston brakes.

It should be noted that Chevrolet is not the only manufacturer offering 10-piston brake calipers. Similar systems are already used on such cars as the Audi RS6 Avant, Bentley Continental GT Speed and Porsche 911 Turbo S.
