Stellar Blade confirms support for Steam Deck: the authors showed gameplay on Valve's portable console
Ahead of the release of the long-awaited Stellar Blade on PC, Korean studio Shift Up has shown how the game works on Steam Deck. A short video on Twitter demonstrated smooth gameplay with the main character in the open world of the Great Desert, confirming almost guaranteed compatibility with Valve's portable console.
Here's What We Know
Stellar Blade, originally exclusive to PlayStation 5, is set to release on PC in June 2025. The game offers a fascinating post-apocalyptic world with dynamic combat gameplay that combines elements of a slasher and RPG. A video posted by the game's official account shows that the project runs smoothly even on Steam Deck, which is great news for owners of the portable console.
Shift Up developers have confirmed that the PC version will receive all the updates and DLC that were available on PS5 and will be optimised for various systems, including portable devices. The team aims to provide the most comfortable gaming experience possible, even if it means lowering the frame rate to 30 FPS on Steam Deck.
