Toyota has revealed the starting price of the new Urban Cruiser electric car on its official website. Although there is no detailed price list yet, we can assume with a high degree of probability that we are talking about a front-wheel drive version with a power output of 106 kW (144 hp) and a range of about 300 kilometres.

Here's What We Know

Sales of the new Toyota Urban Cruiser are expected to start in the summer of 2025. It is an all-electric model less than 4.30 metres long and is the twin brother of the Suzuki eVitara. The Urban Cruiser was unveiled in January this year at the Brussels Motor Show.

The new crossover will come with 18- or 19-inch wheels depending on the equipment. Toyota also promises a wide range of body colours, including two-tone configurations.

In addition to the base version with a 49 kWh battery, the Urban Cruiser will have a 128 kW (174 hp) front-wheel-drive version with a 61 kWh battery and a range of about 400 kilometres. The top version will get the same battery, two motors, 135 kW (183 hp) of power and all-wheel drive, but the range will be reduced to about 350 kilometres. Both batteries have a lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) chemistry. All versions are equipped with a heat pump for air conditioning and a battery preheater.

There are two monitors inside: the 10.25-inch instrument display is mounted below the 10.1-inch touchscreen. P, D, N and R driving modes are activated by a rotary knob on the centre console. The rear seats can be folded down in a 40:20:40 ratio.

The Urban Cruiser is the smallest model in Toyota's electric line-up, which also includes the new C-HR+ and the updated bZ4X.
