MercurySteam has officially released the demo version of its action RPG Blades of Fire, which became available on 15 May on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Players will be able to immerse themselves in the first hours of the game, and save their progress to the full version, which will be released on 22 May.

Here's What We Know

Blades of Fire is a new ambitious project by MercurySteam, known for Metroid Dread. Players will take on the role of Aran de Lyra, the last hero capable of wielding steel, who fights the cruel Queen Nerea. She cursed the kingdom by turning steel into stone, and now Aran has to forge his own weapons to resist her army of monsters.

The game features a unique forging system that allows you to create many variations of weapons by combining different alloys, handles, runes and blades. Each type of enemy has its own weaknesses, so players will have to be strategic in choosing weapons and battle tactics.

The demo version will provide an opportunity to experience the first hours of the game, get acquainted with the combat system and forging mechanics, as well as immerse yourself in atmospheric locations such as castles, palaces, and other fantasy worlds. The progress made in the demo will be saved and available in the full version, making it the perfect start to your future adventure.

Blades of Fire will be released on 22 May on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (Epic Games Store). The game is already available for pre-order for $59 with a 10% discount.

The developers have also confirmed the presence of three difficulty levels, which will allow each player to choose the optimal challenge.
