Samsung may introduce a paid AI feature for Galaxy Gallery
Samsung is preparing to introduce a new artificial intelligence feature in the gallery of its Galaxy smartphones that will allow converting images into videos. This was reported by an insider in the X network, but the details have not yet been disclosed.
Here's What We Know
This news comes after Google introduced advanced video generation capabilities in its Gemini AI assistant. Since Samsung works closely with Google and Gemini is already the default virtual assistant in Galaxy smartphones, it is likely that Samsung will use Gemini capabilities for the new feature.

Interestingly, Honor is ahead of Samsung in this area. Honor 400 series smartphones will get an image-based video creation feature powered by Google's AI. Initially, this service will be free for two months, and then it will be available by subscription.
Samsung is likely to introduce the new AI feature along with the One UI 8.0 update. It is possible that access to it may become paid later, but this is only an assumption for now.
We have to wait for official announcements to find out all the details.
Samsung will not postpone the release of One UI 8 based on Android 16 - the firmware will be released in the summer. During The Android Show 2025, Samsung confirmed that Android 16-based firmware for its current gadgets will be released in the summer.
