Ukraine creates SlimBeam laser turret to destroy drones
The Ukrainian company Fulltime Robotics has developed a 1.5 kW SlimBeam laser turret that can effectively neutralise drones and other aerial threats at a distance of up to 1 km.
Here's What We Know
SlimBeam supports autonomous operation and can also be controlled remotely via a web application, which ensures safety for operators. The system can be installed both on mobile platforms and in fixed locations to protect critical infrastructure and strategic facilities.

According to the technical specifications, small drones can be neutralised at a distance of up to 800 metres, and the turret can operate at a distance of up to 2 kilometres to blind UAV cameras. In addition to combating aerial threats, the laser can be used to neutralise explosives and in demining operations.

Fulltime Robotics CEO Ihor noted that the SlimBeam beam is invisible and silent, which is a great advantage on the battlefield. The turret can also be used for sabotage missions: burning locks from a distance, demining or detonation. The company is ready to develop more powerful lasers for longer-range operations, subject to production scale.
