During FEINDEF 2025, the Spanish company Instalaza presented a new 90 mm reusable grenade launcher, the Hispano MPW, based on the experience of the war in Ukraine. Its name comes from the unofficial name given by the Ukrainian military to the previous C90 model, Hispano.

Here's What We Know

The Hispano MPW is an upgraded version of the C90 grenade launcher, which has been in use by the Ukrainian military since 2022. The developers were inspired by feedback from Ukrainian soldiers who actively used this weapon at the front.

The new grenade launcher is equipped with a daytime and thermal imaging threefold sight, a rangefinder, and the Vosel-H integrated fire control system. This system automatically takes into account parameters such as range, angular deviation, environmental conditions, and fuel temperature in the rocket engine, which affects the accuracy of the shot.

The Hispano MPW supports the use of shells from its predecessor, the C90: cumulative, anti-bunker, utility, smoke and enhanced. In addition, the new model is capable of firing projectiles with an extended range of up to 650 metres, which is significantly longer than the previous 350 metres.

The grenade launcher weighs 7.5 kg and is less than one metre long, which ensures high mobility on the battlefield. In addition to the main sights, it is equipped with a collimator sight for close-range firing or in case of failure of the main optics.
