Something went wrong: Activision is dropping support for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and removing the game from Google Play and the App Store
In March 2024, Popular online shooter comes to smartphones: Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile release trailer unveiled Call of Duty: Warzone. The company hoped that the game would be very popular and promised massive support for a long time, but, as it often happens, something went wrong.
Here's What We Know
Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will disappear from Google Play and the App Store from 18 May 2025, and domestic purchases will become unavailable.
The developer will not shut down the game's servers just yet, but social features will not be available and new content is no longer being developed.
This decision has been made after careful consideration of various factors and while we are proud of the achievement in bringing Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile devices in an authentic way, it has unfortunately fallen short of our expectations.
Everyone who installs the game before 19 May will retain access to cross-progression and purchased items, and unused in-game currency CoD Points can be spent in the shop via the link.
The developer apologises and offers as an alternative to go free to Call of Duty: Mobile, where special rewards will be offered.
