Epson launches EF-51, a hybrid 4K projector with HDR and voice control
Epson has introduced a new 4K projector EF-51 with 700 lumens, Dolby Audio and built-in ambient lighting. The device is already available in China at JD.com for 4099 yuan (approximately $568).
Here's What We Know
The EF-51 combines high image quality with smart lighting features.
The projector is based on Epson's Triple Core Engine technology and 3LCD architecture with three chips, which provides true 4K resolution with HDR support. Brightness is up to 700 lumens and dynamic contrast is 5,000,000:1 thanks to 512-zone image processing. The EF-51 reproduces 10-bit colour with over 1.07 billion shades.

The model features a new light recirculation system that improves brightness uniformity (97.3%) and reduces noise. The built-in ambient light works even when the projector is switched off and is controlled via touch elements or the Epson mobile app. Users can adjust colour, brightness, effects and create interactive photo walls.
The EF-51 supports automatic keystone correction, wall detection and frame correction. The picture can be up to 100 inches, and the motorised stand swivels and tilts for easy placement. For gamers, there's a low-latency mode (ALLM) and motion interpolation for smooth 4K gaming.
The audio system consists of two 6-watt speakers with Dolby Audio support. The projector has 2GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, HDMI, USB and audio ports, as well as voice control via AI assistant. The noise level is only 23 dB, and the device meets Chinese energy efficiency standards.
Epson provides an official 2+1 year warranty with home service, free repair and replacement in case of damage during delivery.
