Speculation about Naughty Dog's future projects has been rampant lately, and now there's finally a fresh update: Neil Druckmann, known for directing The Last of Us, has revealed that he is involved in the development of another title for the studio.

Here's What We Know

Not only has Druckmann been confirmed as one of the directors of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, but also confirmed that he has a "more producer role" on this second, as yet unannounced project.

Here's some of what he had to say during a chat on the Press X to Continue podcast this week:

"There's another game that Naughty Dog is working on where I'm in a more of a producer role and I have the opportunity to mentor, watch this other team, give feedback, and be the executive in the room. I love all of these roles and the fact that I get to switch between them keeps my job very exciting and always fresh. I never get bored."

Back in 2023, when confirming the cancellation of its multiplayer project The Last of Us, Naughty Dog announced that it was working on more than one story-driven game for PS5. Now, with the confirmation from Neil Druckmann himself, it becomes clear that the studio is actively focusing its efforts, developing several ambitious projects in parallel.

What exactly Naughty Dog's second mysterious project is hiding remains a secret, but Druckmann's participation, even in a producing role, is already generating a lot of interest among the studio's fans.
