Although it's too early to talk about the long-term commercial success of DOOM: The Dark Ages, the first-person shooter has had a good start in the UK physical sales market. According to the charts released by GfK, DOOM: The Dark Ages topped the list of the best-selling physical games in the UK for the week.

Here's What We Know

DOOM: The Dark Ages was joined at the top of the charts by another new game - The Precinct. This action-adventure game in the old GTA style took second place in the ranking.

Meanwhile, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 dropped from the first place last week to the eighth, and Assassin's Creed Shadows is in sixth place, having fallen from the fourth.

Interestingly, ten years after its release, The Witcher 3 in the GOTY Edition took seventh place in the charts, while another "old horse" - Grand Theft Auto 5 - also continues to hold on to the rankings, taking fifth place. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe rounds out the top ten.

Although the peak online game Doom: The Dark Ages on PC was the lowest among the new trilogy: the shooter gathered 30,000 people at the same time. Therefore, online figures on PC sometimes mean absolutely nothing.
