Cool design and improved specs: MSI unveiled Claw 8 AI+ Polar Tempest Edition handheld console
At Computex 2025, Taiwanese company MSI has unveiled a new flagship model of its own portable gaming console.

The Claw 8 AI+ Polar Tempest Edition - an updated version of the Claw 8 AI+, with improved specs and a new design - was shown to the public. MSI positions the Polar Tempest Edition as a stylish and powerful device for gamers that combines high performance and unique design.
The console gets an Intel Core Ultra 7 258 processor, Intel Arc 140V integrated graphics, 32GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM, 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD storage, two Thunderbolt 4 ports and support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
The Polar Tempest Edition's display diagonal is 8″ with a resolution of 1920 x 1200p. The console has a battery capacity of 80Wp, which will provide long battery life.
The console runs on Windows 11, supports extensive AI capabilities and has received a fingerprint scanner.
The Claw 8 AI+ Polar Tempest Edition is expected to go on sale in June 2025. The price has not been officially announced yet, but unconfirmed information suggests that the console will cost around $1000 in the US and $1100 in Europe.
