Ukraine to receive six more THeMIS tracked drones for demining
The Estonian company Milrem Robotics, together with the French government, will provide the State Emergency Service of Ukraine with six modernised unmanned engineering vehicles for the safe disposal of explosives.

Milrem Robotics said in a statement that the THeMIS drones will first be delivered to the French company CNIM Systèmes Industriels, where they will be equipped with special engineering equipment. After that, the SES will receive a version of ROCUS (Route Clearance Unmanned Systems) designed to remotely detect, identify and neutralise explosive objects.
These platforms increase the safety of sappers and allow them to perform demining tasks in the face of a mine threat. The company emphasises that the new drones will help "secure the movement of civilians, protect the environment and contribute to the restoration of agriculture and residential areas".

The ROCUS engineering drones are based on the THeMIS multi-purpose platform, which has been in use in Ukraine since 2022. With the new batch, the SES's fleet of such machines will double from six to twelve units.
THeMIS has a maximum speed of 25 km/h and can move both remotely and autonomously along a given route. The system is capable of carrying a load of up to 1,200 kg with a tare weight of 1,635 kg, and the battery life is up to 15 hours. The platform is powered by lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries.
