At Computex 2025, ASUS unveiled an impressive gamer monitor aimed at cyber athletes and fans of fast-paced competitive gaming.
Here's What We Know
The model is called ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG and its main feature is a record refresh rate of 610Hz. This figure is not achieved by any monitor, but for this gamers will have to pay for the quality of the image, because the TN-matrix, which is used in the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG, is significantly inferior to IPS and OLED-panels.
The main features of the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG are:
- display: 24.1″ Super TN-matrix with a resolution of 1920×1080 (Full HD);
- 400 nits peak brightness. This meets the VESA DisplayHDR 400 standard, which means basic HDR support, but without the deep contrast of an OLED or Mini-LED;
- 610Hz refresh rate (in overclocked mode);
- response time: 0.1 ms, input lag 0.8 ms;
- Extreme Low Motion Blur 2 (ELMB 2) to minimise blur and increase brightness by up to 65%;
- up to 90% DCI-P3 colour saturation;
- Support for NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync to eliminate frame gaps;
- connectivity: DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, 3.5mm audio jack.
The monitor is mounted on a compact stand that makes room for a keyboard and mouse.
ASUS has not yet announced the price and launch date for the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG.
