Insider: Amazon could beat Apple to the punch and be the first to release its own large foldable-screen gadget
According to insiders A foldable "MacBook and iPad hybrid" could come out as early as late 2026 touchscreen gadget that will be a hybrid of the MacBook and iPad and will essentially be a laptop without a physical keyboard. The device is expected to be released in 2027-28 and there are more and more companies emerging that are ahead of the American corporation.

A few days ago, Huawei unveiled the MateBook Fold foldable laptop with a dual OLED screen, and earlier similar gadgets were released by ASUS, Lenovo and HP. Now, well-known Chinese analyst and insider Ming-Chi Kuo reported that Amazon has also joined the trend.
According to him, the company is developing its own folding gadget, mass production of which may begin in 2026-27, which will allow Amazon to overtake Apple. However, Amazon's overall strategy remains unclear, as the company is not a technology giant and does not bet on the production of gadgets.
