Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot and HR Director Marie Deren have been formally subpoenaed in the case of former company executives accused of sexist and racist behaviour. The trial is scheduled to begin on 2 June 2025.

Here's What We Know

The court in France is to consider the case of three ex-executives of Ubisoft - Serge Hascoeut, Tommy Francois, and Guillaume Patroux - who are accused of sexual harassment. The investigation lasted more than a year, and as a result, in 2023, French police arrested five former top executives of the company.

The Solidaires Informatique trade union, citing judicial sources, emphasises that this case is not only about the personal responsibility of individual executives. According to the union, the trial will show how Ubisoft operated a holistic mechanism that allowed the harassers to remain in their positions and the victims to remain silent. In its statement, the union emphasised: "This is not a matter of individual acts alone, but of a coherent, well-established mechanism that allowed the violence to continue for years."

Guillemot and Deren were called in to highlight the "systemic nature of the harassment" at Ubisoft.
