Techland has announced important changes to the French localisation of Dying Light: The Beast: Kyle Crane, the game's protagonist, will now be voiced by a different actor. This decision is explained by the developers' desire to better reflect the changes in the character of the character, who has gone through new challenges in the years since the original game.

Here's What We Know

In its announcement, Techland said that Benoît DuPac, who voiced Crane in the French version of Dying Light in 2015, will not return to this role in the new Dying Light: The Beast. The developers explained that Crane has become a different person after all the events, and now he is braver, stronger and ready for new challenges.

"This was a difficult decision that we thought about for a long time," Techland said, "but we believe it best reflects our creative concept and Crane's legacy. We are very grateful to Benoît DuPuck for his contribution to the first game and will always remember his talent and dedication to the character."

For English-speaking fans, nothing will change: Crane will continue to be voiced by actor Roger Craig Smith.

Dying Light: The Beast will be released in the summer of 2025.
