Bitcoin set a new record as it hit an all-time high on 22 May 2025, rising to $111,861 before correcting slightly to $111,368. With a 3.5% rise in 24 hours, it's not just a fluctuation - it's a major jump.

Here's What We Know

Since the beginning of the year, the value of Bitcoin fell to $75k due to various factors, the main one being the economic policies of the Trump administration. Now the situation has calmed down somewhat, major players have re-entered the market and are actively buying up cryptocurrencies, and the US Senate is promoting a bill on Stablecoins, which adds confidence to market participants.

In addition, many investors are looking at Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as an alternative to traditional assets, as, for example, the stock market is in a volatile state and government bonds no longer look like a safe and secure investment.

Note, it's not just bitcoin that's rising - Ethereum added 4.5% and Solana added 1.9%.

What's next? Analysts are looking towards $115,000 - that's where the next psychological milestone is. But not everything is so cloudless: there are possible risks due to geopolitics or FRS policy changes.
