Now with eSIM and Xring chip: Xiaomi has launched the anniversary version of Watch S4

In honour of its own anniversary, Xiaomi has unveiled an improved version of its flagship smartwatch.

Watch S4 eSIM 15th Anniversary Edition is a special version of the smartwatch, which has two important differences from the previous model. The gadget now runs on the proprietary Xring T1 4G chipset, which reduces standby power consumption by 66%. The second innovation was support for eSIM and 4G. The manufacturer also claims that mobile network performance has been improved by a third.
In addition, Xiaomi has changed the design of the watch and added a carbon bezel.
The main features of the Watch S4 eSIM:
- display: 1.43-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 466 × 466p, peak brightness of 2200 nits and Dragon Crystal protective glass;
- case: PVD-coated aluminium alloy, water resistant to 5ATM (up to 50 metres);
- up to 9 days of battery life with active eSIM, 486mAh battery;
- Xiaomi HyperOS 2;
- over 150 sports modes, health monitoring including heart rate and blood oxygen levels;
- support for dual-band GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, eSIM for offline 4G/3G connectivity.
The Watch S4 eSIM is already on sale in China for $180.
