Samsung has officially started rolling out the latest major operating system update for its Galaxy A73 smartphone. On 22 May, the model started receiving Android 15 with One UI 7.0.

Here's What We Know

The update was first rolled out in certain Asian countries, but is expected to be more widely available in other regions in the coming weeks.

How To Switch It On

To check for the update, users should go to Settings, Software Update, Download and Install. Alternatively, the firmware can be downloaded manually from the archive on the SamMobile website and installed via a Windows PC.

One UI 7 will be the latest functional update for Galaxy A73. From now on, the device will only receive monthly security patches for about another year, after which support will be terminated.

The Galaxy A73 was the last member of the popular A7x series. If you are thinking of upgrading your smartphone, the new Galaxy A56 is an alternative. It is equipped with a powerful Exynos 1580 chip, runs on Android 15 with One UI 7, and will receive OS and security updates for seven years. Galaxy A56 has a new camera design inspired by the Galaxy Fold series. Now the three lenses are located in a single elongated block, rather than separately, as in previous models.
