The Ukrainian armoured vehicle VARTA 2 has completed codification, passed all tests and received permission to be supplied to the Ukrainian Defence Forces. The manufacturer is now ready to put it into mass production.

Here's What We Know

The Ukrainian Armour Company announced that the armoured vehicle was ready. According to CEO Vladyslav Belbas, since the presentation of the VARTA 2 prototype, the company has received many requests from the military, which indicates a high demand for this class of vehicle. He stressed that the vehicle combines mobility, speed and enhanced protection, and has a payload sufficient to integrate a powerful combat module.

"The VARTA 2 can be equipped with both a turret and a combat module, including the SICH module, which was tested in autumn 2024 as part of the Ministry of Defence's codification. This module includes a 30 mm ZTM-1 automatic cannon, an AG-30 automatic grenade launcher and a 7.62 mm PKT machine gun.

It is controlled remotely via a console inside the vehicle, and thanks to a day and night thermal imaging channel, the system allows for accurate fire even when on the move.

The launch of VARTA 2 in mass production will be a significant reinforcement for the Ukrainian Defence Forces. It meets the modern requirements of mobile warfare, provides infantry with fire support and has the potential to effectively combat enemy armoured vehicles.
