Samsung is preparing to unveil Galaxy Watch8 smartwatches in early July alongside Galaxy Fold7 and Flip7. According to insiders, the new products will be powered by the proprietary Exynos W1000 chip, the same as in last year's Watch6 series.

Here's What We Know

Despite the fact that the chip is not new, it still remains one of the most powerful solutions in the smartwatch segment. Exynos W1000 is based on five cores: four Cortex-A55 with a frequency of up to 1.5 GHz and one Cortex-A78 at 1.6 GHz. It is paired with Mali-G68 MP2 graphics and LPDDR5 RAM. The chip was created using the energy-efficient 3nm GAA process, which ensures high performance and battery life.

The Watch8 Classic model is also expected to return. According to the renders, the watch will have a case with smoothly rounded corners - a shape that combines the features of a square and a circle, similar to the Watch Ultra design. Both the basic and Classic models are likely to look like this.

As for the specifications, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic may feature a 1.5-inch display in a 46 x 46.5 x 14.2 mm body, a 450 mAh battery, and the One UI 8 Watch shell based on Wear OS 6.

Recently, a leak showed the battery capacity of the Galaxy Watch 8. According to SammyGuru, the official documentation reveals certificates for several Galaxy Watch models, including two basic and one unknown version. In addition, the SM-L505F model is mentioned, which is likely to be a premium model.
