Samsung has officially launched One UI 7 for one of its most popular mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A53.

Here's What We Know

Users in South Korea can already download the update, which is likely to be available in other countries by the end of the month.

The update has a build number of A536NKSU9FYE1 and takes about 3.4 GB. It updates the device to the latest version of Android and the proprietary One UI, as well as installs the latest security patches.

How to enable

To download the firmware, you need to go to the Settings, Software Update, Download and Install menu. If the update hasn't appeared yet, you should check again in a few hours - Samsung usually rolls out updates in stages.

One UI 7 brings with it a number of new features, including an improved interface, improved performance, new privacy and AI optimisation features. However, some features may not be available on Galaxy A53 due to hardware limitations.

This is the third major operating system update for the A53. The smartphone is expected to receive the last major update at the end of the year - Android 16 with One UI 8. In 2025, Samsung may still release One UI 8.5, after which only security updates will remain for the A53.
