New Casio G-Shock GMW-BZ5000 in leaked photos: modular body and MiP display
Casio is preparing an update to its iconic all-metal G-Shock 5000 series, the GMW-BZ5000. New renders that have recently appeared on the web showcase an upgraded case design with a modular construction and a new MiP (Memory in Pixel) display.
Here's What We Know
The official release is expected to take place in the second half of 2025.
The GMW-BZ5000 series will be available in three colour variants: silver with a positive display (GMW-BZ5000D-1), black with a negative display (GMW-BZ5000GD-1), and gold with a negative display (GMW-BZ5000GD-9). The case is traditionally made of steel, but the new modular design of the sides hints at improved serviceability and potential customisation of the watches.

The most significant change is the use of a MiP display, which provides better readability even in low light or quick glances, unlike conventional LCDs. This is a feature long awaited by fans of the G-Shock series, especially for metal models.
According to unofficial sources, the price of the new product will be approximately 599 euros for the steel version and 649 euros for the colour models with ionic coating, which is slightly more expensive than the GMW-B5000.
If these are real official images, then the announcement is not far off - Casio is preparing to present an updated classic line with a new technological level and fresh design.
