Apple is preparing for the September launch of the iPhone 17 Pro with noticeable changes that will distinguish it from previous models. One of the main updates is a new camera design.

Here's What We Know

Instead of the usual square in the corner, the camera unit will be stretched horizontally along the top of the case. The LiDAR scanner, flash, and microphone will be located nearby.

The company also plans to return to an aluminium body, which will replace the titanium and steel frames of previous models. The back panel will be combined: aluminium with a separate glass window to support MagSafe and wireless charging - for the first time in many years, Apple is moving away from an all-glass design.

Another important change is the introduction of a cooling system with a steam chamber. It should provide better stability, less heat, and longer performance under load. It can also improve charging speeds and gaming experience.

Other changes include a new in-house developed Wi-Fi chip, 12GB of RAM, a 24MP front-facing camera, a 48MP telephoto lens, and support for simultaneous video recording from multiple cameras.

Unfortunately, rumours about the reduction of Dynamic Island have not been confirmed yet.

Along with the iPhone 17 Pro, the company will also introduce the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, Apple's thinnest smartphone ever.
