An analogue of the popular Pinterest service may appear in the Google app.

Here's What We Know

When studying the programme code of the new version of the Google app, Android Authority journalists found mention of a tab called Images.

Upon further investigation, it turned out that Images may perform similar functions to Pinterest, an app that allows you to pin images to a digital whiteboard and share them with the community.

It is likely that when Images is first opened, users will be prompted to select at least three topics on which they would like to receive new images and the feed will then be generated according to preferences and requests.

Like Pinterest, the images received will be able to be shared or saved to oneself. Images will also be searchable via Google Lens.

Images is currently undergoing internal testing and Google hasn't even announced its new feature yet.
