"The World of the Wild East": the Ukrainian Armed Forces will soon have an "Anti-Drone Pistol"
The Ministry of Defence has codified and approved for use in the army a new individual means of combating enemy drones. The device has already passed all the necessary procedures.
Here's What We Know
The so-called "Anti-Drone Gun" is a compact electronic defence device created by Ukrainian manufacturers. Its main function is to install electromagnetic interference to block the control channels and video broadcasts of enemy drones.
According to the Main Directorate for Life Cycle Support of Weapons and Military Equipment, the gun has a monolithic design, weighs just over one kilogram, and is intended for individual use, including by assault and forward units.
Its compactness and ease of use allow for effective use without extensive training or complex infrastructure. Its main advantage is the ability to respond quickly to an airborne threat during combat operations.
