May 2025 security update available for Galaxy Flip 3 in Europe
Samsung has started rolling out a new update for the Galaxy Flip 3, which includes the May 2025 security patch. The innovation is designed to improve the security of the smartphone and eliminate known vulnerabilities.
Here's What We Know
Last month, Galaxy Flip 3 received a major update to Android 15 with One UI 7.0, which included the April security patch. Now, the company is offering users the next service pack with the May fixes.
The update is initially available for international versions of the smartphone in a number of European countries: Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
The firmware version number is F711BXXSDJYE2.
How to update
To install the update, you need to go to the "Software Update" section of your phone's settings and download the new version.
Note that Galaxy Flip 3 will not receive Android 16 with One UI 8.0, which is currently being developed by Samsung. If this makes you think about changing the device, you should pay attention to the new models - Galaxy Flip 6 is already available on the market, and Galaxy Flip 7 is expected in July.
Last week, Samsung confirmed that One UI 8 based on Android 16 will be released this summer. Now, a banner has appeared in the Samsung Members app, announcing that users will be able to register for the One UI 8 beta programme as soon as it becomes available.
