Marshall Kilburn III portable speaker runs for over 50 hours and can charge gadgets
Marshall has announced a new version of its portable Bluetooth speaker - Kilburn III. The main feature of the new product is significantly improved battery life.
Here's What We Know
Now the speaker can operate for more than 50 hours on a single charge - more than twice as long as the previous model.
Kilburn III delivers 360° True Stereophonic sound thanks to a set of one 4-inch subwoofer and two 2-inch full-range speakers. The amplifiers are rated at 50 W: 30 W for the subwoofer and 10 W for each of the full-range speakers. The maximum volume level reaches 91 dB at a distance of one metre. The cabinet is equipped with a bass reflex to enhance low frequencies.
The speaker supports Bluetooth 5.3 with multi-connection and a range of up to 10 metres. There is a 3.5 mm AUX input for wired connection. SBC, LC3 and MPEG-2 AAC audio codecs are supported. There is no built-in microphone.
Controls are concentrated on the top panel and include volume, bass and treble, power, media, Bluetooth pairing and mode (M) buttons. In addition, Kilburn III can act as a charging bank and recharge other devices via USB-C.
The case has an IP54 rating - resistant to dust and water splashes. The battery is rechargeable and replaceable. Charging from 30W provides 8 hours of operation in 20 minutes of charging, and a full charge takes about 3 hours. USB-C 9V/3A and 5V/3A charging inputs are supported.
The device measures 273×150×169 mm and weighs 2.8 kg. The speaker is available in black, brass and cream colours, and the cabinet is 38% recycled. It also supports the Marshall Bluetooth app for configuration.
The price of Kilburn III is €349. The speaker is already available on the official Marshall website and will be available in retail stores from 10 June.
