Opera has introduced a new AI-enabled browser, Neon, which can create games, write code, and prepare reports. This browser is powered by AI agents and offers users three main functions: Chat, Do, and Make.

Here's What We Know

The Chat function answers questions like other chatbots, Do automatically performs tasks on the Internet, such as searching for information or filling out forms, and Make can create new content, including games and web applications, on demand. As a result, the browser can not only assist in searching but also perform various actions on its own.

Henrik Lexow, Senior Director of AI Products at Opera, noted that artificial intelligence will change the way we use the Internet by automating routine tasks directly in the browser. Opera Neon uses cloud-based AI agents that understand and execute user commands.

The browser provides tools similar to Microsoft Copilot or OpenAI Operator and has a chat interface to get contextual information from pages. For example, if you want to play old games, Neon can create a game at your request.

At the moment, Neon is available only by invitation to members of the Opera community. The product works on a subscription basis, but prices have not yet been announced.
