Something went wrong: according to media reports EA cancelled the development of the Black Panther action game and closed down the studio Cliffhanger Games
In mid-2023, Electronic Arts Electronic Arts and Marvel officially announce big-budget comic book game Black Panther tasked with developing the ambitious superhero action game Black Panther under the Marvel licence.
Apart from a single artwork, no materials about the game appeared, but promises and insights were very optimistic, and, unfortunately, the news that the game will never be released.

IGN journalist Rebekah Valentine has reported that EA is shutting down Cliffhanger Studios and cancelling Black Panther development entirely. She knows that the company justifies its decision by the need to focus on other franchises, among which are mentioned Battlefield, The Sims, Skate and Apex Legends. Work also continues on the third instalment of Star Wars Jedi, a new Mass Effect and an Iron Man action game.
EA is offering developers from the closed studio to join other parts of the company, including mobile game development.
In a way, the story goes in circles, as the Cliffhanger Games team was made up of Monolith Productions veterans and even Cliffhanger was headed by Kevin Stephens - former head of Monolith, which, remember, was also BREAKING: Warner Bros. has shut down studio Monolith Productions and cancelled development of Wonder Woman.
