For eighteen Samsung One UI 8 smartphones and tablets, Android 16-based Samsung One UI 8 will be the last major update (list)

As we previously reported, Samsung will soon launch beta testing of the One UI 8 firmware based on Android 16, with a stable release expected in the summer of 2025. But for a number of Samsung smartphone and tablet models, this will be the final major update.

Here's What We Know

In the network appeared a list of gadgets that will receive One UI 8, but it will be the last for them. Even popular and quite current devices are spotted among the models, including the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Samsung is gradually ending support for the following gadgets:

  • Galaxy S22;
  • Galaxy S22+;
  • Galaxy S22 Ultra;
  • Galaxy S21 FE;
  • Galaxy Z Fold 4;
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4;
  • Galaxy A73 5G;
  • Galaxy A53;
  • Galaxy A33;
  • Galaxy M05;
  • Galaxy F14;
  • Galaxy F05;
  • Galaxy XCover 6 Pro;
  • Galaxy Tab S8;
  • Galaxy Tab S8+;
  • Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra;
  • Galaxy Tab A9;
  • Galaxy Tab A9+.

While One UI 8 will be the last major update for these devices, they will be receiving small patches as well as security fixes for some time.
