Samsung launches international One UI 7 update for Galaxy A53
Samsung continues to roll out the One UI 7 update for its popular mid-range Galaxy A53 smartphone.

Following the initial launch in South Korea a few days ago, the update is now available to users in the UK and will be rolling out to other countries soon.
The 3.5GB update has a build number of A536BXXUEFYE2 and is available from Settings, Software Update. It brings new features to the One UI 7 interface, which is based on the latest version of Android, as well as stability and performance improvements.
This is the third major operating system update for the Galaxy A53. Later this year, Samsung plans to release the last major update, Android 16 with One UI 8. In 2026, One UI 8.5 is likely to follow, after which support for new features will stop and the phone will only receive security updates for about a year.
One UI 7 brings with it a number of innovations, including an improved interface, improved performance, new privacy and AI optimisation features. However, some features may not be available on the Galaxy A53 due to hardware limitations.
For those who want a more powerful device with a longer support period, Samsung suggests looking at the Galaxy A56 with newer software.
Samsung supports the Galaxy A53 with fresh updates, ensuring that the device will be relevant for several more years.
