Almost like Samsung Galaxy Flip: Oppo patented the design of a new foldable smartphone
Oppo last released a foldable smartphone back in 2023 - it was the Find N3 Flip. Since then, nothing has been heard from the company about foldable models of this format. However, a new patent application to the WIPO may hint that Oppo is preparing a successor, the Find N5 Flip.
Here's What We Know
Now, a patent application filed with WIPO has revealed images that may indicate the appearance of the upcoming Find N5 Flip. The device has a new design for Oppo, but retains familiar elements: the external display is located on the left, and there is a three-camera unit next to it.

The presence of three modules is still a rarity for vertically folded models, although a similar solution has already been used in the Find N3 Flip. The cameras are not placed in separate circles, but are combined into a single unit - this is closer to the style of the Find N2 Flip, but also resembles the design of some Samsung devices.
The screen on the outer panel takes up more space than the previous model, which may improve the convenience of interacting with notifications, widgets and the camera.
Although the images from the patent look convincing, it is worth remembering that companies often register designs that are not ultimately implemented in commercial products. Therefore, this is not yet a confirmation that Find N5 Flip will actually be released in this design. We are following the developments.
Recently it became known that Galaxy Flip 7 will be the first foldable smartphone from Samsung with its own Exynos 2500 chipset.
