Insider: Xiaomi 16 will keep Xiaomi 15's camera with three 50MP lenses
The new Xiaomi 16 flagship, which is expected to be released later this year, has already been leaked. According to the Chinese social network Weibo, the smartphone will retain the design of the main camera, similar to the previous Xiaomi 15 model, which was released in October 2024.

According to the leaks, Xiaomi 16 will have a triple main camera with three 50-megapixel modules: a 1/1.3-inch main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a telephoto sensor. This configuration will provide high-quality images in various shooting conditions.
The new device will also feature Qualcomm's new flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, which is expected to be announced at the Snapdragon Summit in September. This chipset promises a performance boost: The GPU will be 30% more powerful and the CPU will be 25% faster compared to its predecessor.
Another important change is the larger battery. While Xiaomi 15 had a 5240 mAh battery, Xiaomi 16 is likely to have a battery of over 6500 mAh. The operating system is a new version of HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
The Xiaomi 16 is expected to be unveiled in September 2025 in China, with a global launch in early 2026.
According to the leak, Xiaomi's next flagship, the Xiaomi 16, will be larger than its predecessors. The smartphone will have a larger display instead of the 6.36-inch screen used by the Xiaomi 13, 14, and 15 models.
