At the WWDC 2025 conference, which will be held from 9 to 13 June, Apple will present updates to its operating systems, which, remember, will receive a new order of calculus. Among them will be macOS 26 and, of course, the company does not disclose which models will receive the update.

Here's What We Know

Apple Insider portal, citing its own sources, reported which Apple computers will receive the new version of macOS, and which will remain without it.

It is expected that macOS 26 will not receive:

  • MacBook Air (2020, Intel)
  • MacBook Pro (2018)
  • Mac mini (2018)
  • iMac Pro (2017).

Users of these devices can only expect macOS 15 Sequoia, which will likely be their last major update. Intel-powered Macs, meanwhile, will be left without Apple's flagship Intelligence features, as they require an Apple Silicon chip for integration.

macOS 26 is expected to support:

  • MacBook Air (2020, M1) and newer
  • MacBook Pro (2019) and later
  • Mac mini (2020, M1) and later
  • iMac (2020) and later
  • Mac Pro (2019) and later
  • Mac Studio.

According to insiders, users can expect huge changes to the interface and overall design of the operating system in macOS 26, and the same innovations will appear in iOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26 and visionOS 26.
